Road Closures 2024
With an event of this nature some temporary road closures will be in operation in Ballina on Sunday, May 5th and delays are to be expected. Please allow time for delays and avoid the town centre from 12pm to 2.30pm if at all possible.
We would kindly ask the public to acknowledge these restrictions and comply with instructions of And Garda Síochána and our stewards for the health and safety of all.
Please note: Road closures will be temporary and rolling in nature following the progress of the participants of the mini-marathon.
Please note: Access to both the Lower and Upper Bridges for Vehicular Traffic will be closed from approximately 12:00pm to 12:15pm.
The junction of the Lower Bridge with Emmett Street together with the junction of The Lower Bridge with Clare Street will be manned by Gardaí.
Should there be a situation where Emergency Vehicles are required to travel to the Eastern side of Ballina (Ardnaree/Access Sligo etc) arrangements are in place where this can be facilitated.
It is recommended that visitors to Ballina arrive early and park in locations to best enjoy the mini-marathon and other related events. You can find information on car parking here.
